Got the Covid-19 blues?

Join us at Tri-State 2021 and replace those blues with the white powdery snow of Boyne Highlands ski resort.

You heard that right! All systems are a go for the 55th Annual Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference (January 17 - 22, 2021). Boyne Highlands resort staff have assured us that our group can be reasonably accommodated with respect to both internal protocols and state-wide mandates as it relates to COVID-19.

You probably have some burning questions, such as… How will Boyne handle dining? Will the kids be able to attend ski school? Will the pools be open? What are the plans for the actual meeting space?

We’ll continue to answer those questions with updated information from Boyne right here:

Dining

For breakfast, Boyne is hoping to offer a breakfast buffet. However, it will be a scaled-down version that will be staff-served. Alternatively, if Boyne elects not to go the buffet route, breakfast will be ordered off the menu, similar to other meals.

All restaurants are currently seating only at 50% capacity, with tables spaced 6’ apart from one another. Masks are required.

No lunch will be included as part of ski school this year. Children will dine with their families.

Ski School & Childrens’ Activities

Due to COVID concerns, Boyne will not offer any kids’ indoor activities this year. They will provide half-day group lessons to children 7 and older. Families may purchase an additional two-hour session the same day.

For children ages 6 and under, Boyne offers private lessons, and a parent or guardian must be a part of the lesson.

Same family members may ride the chair lift together. If guests approve, there might be two riding a three-person chair lift; otherwise, guests can opt to ride alone.

Other Amenities

The pools are open, as well as the locker rooms.

Per local mandates, Boyne is able to have 25 guests per every 1,000 square feet. They have scheduled our group for their largest conference room, which can safely seat 73 people. Seats will be set up, socially distanced, as is the case with all of Boyne’s indoor areas. At this time, masks are required. The meeting space will also be cleaned and sanitized at the conclusion of our meetings each day.

Cleaning Protocols

Boyne Highlands Resort takes standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and is taking steps to ensure the safety of their guests and employees following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and local authorities.

But instead of focusing on what’s different this coming year…

One thing will remain the same - this coming year’s Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference will continue to offer an amazing avenue for camaraderie, continued learning, and family fun. Don’t let the COVID-19 blues keep you from joining us at Tri-State 2021. Be sure to book your reservations and register for the conference today!
