What is the typical Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference format?

The conference typically begins with a Welcome Reception on Sunday evening. The educational sessions will be held early morning and late afternoon. There will be two speakers each morning and afternoon. The conference concludes after the morning session on Friday.


Is the Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference accredited?

The Ohio State University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor medical education for physicians. The Ohio State University Medical Center certifies this educational activity for a maximum of 10.5 hours in category 1 of the Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spends in the educational activity.

In addition, the program has been approved by the Dental Boards of Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana for Dental CME.


What is the conference course description?

The Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference is a conference that provides the opportunity for medical and dental practitioners to hear practical tips on a variety of clinical topics.


What is the conference Educational Needs Assessment?

New therapies and approaches are continuously introduced. This conference will address the need of practitioners to be aware of advances in care, and to be introduced to topics outside of their specialties.

I already filled out a form at least year’s conference stating that I’m coming back. Does this complete my lodging reservation?

No. If you already attended a previous Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference at Boyne Highlands, you may have received a form under your door asking if you plan on coming back next year. This form is NOT your reservation form. Rather, it is a way for Boyne to track your tentative commitment for the following year in an effort to give you similar hotel accommodations when you do, in fact, come back.


How do I register for the conference?

We now accept credit cards. You can register for the Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference on-site at Boyne Highlands on Sunday evening or Monday morning. Or, you can complete your registration online via secure PayPal payment on our registration page.


Is the Conference family-friendly?

Yes! There are numerous accommodations for families with children, including daycare, SnowSports Academy, special activities, and much more!


What’s included in the Package?

Adults 16 and older: The ski week package includes five nights lodging, three meals per day (beginning with dinner on Sunday through lunch on Friday), daily lift ticket (including day of arrival), and group ski instruction.

Children 15 and under: The ski week package includes five nights lodging, three meals per day (beginning with dinner on Sunday through lunch on Friday) and daily lift ticket.


What gratuities are included in the package price?

A 20% food gratuity is included in the package price for all paying guests. All other gratuities outside of the package plan are at the guest’s discretion.


How do I make arrangements with the SnowSports Academy?

You may make arrangements on-site at the ski school desk (formerly located at the Main Lodge Hotel Lobby; now located at Day Skier Lodge, lower Lobby), or by contacting the SnowSports Academy at 231-526-3056 for group or individual lessons. The package rate includes daily group lessons for adults 16 and older. All other lesson arrangements are to be made at the guest’s discretion. May I extend my stay?

Boyne Highlands is happy to extend your stay should you desire to do so. Reservations are based on availability and can be made by contacting BOYNE Reservations at 800.GO.BOYNE.


May I pay my conference registration with a credit card?

Yes, you can now pay your conference registration, via online registration or on-site registration, with credit card. You can also pay with check or cash on-site at Boyne Highlands.


How does the Tri-State discount work?

A 10% discount will be extended to the first two adult occupants of each room who stay for the entire ski week. The discount will be applied upon check-out. In order to qualify for the discount, at least one adult per room must be registered for the five-day Tri-State Dental-Medical Conference.


May I rent SnowSports equipment?

Ski and snowboard equipment is available for rent on-site. To make reservations, please call 231-526-3057.


Is daycare available?

Polar Cub winter season daycare is available in the Convention Center for ages 6 months and up. To make reservations, please call 231-526-3677.


May we visit Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark at Boyne Mountain?

What other activities are available on-property?

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, on-site activities include spa treatments, cross-country skiing, tubing, video games, groomer rides, bonfires, ice skating, snowshoeing, zip lining, horseback riding, swimming, and more. Call the adventure center for reservations at 231-526-3835.


What activities are available off-property?

Shopping in nearby Harbor Springs and Petoskey, bowling, Odawa Casino, Kilwin's Chocolate Factory tours, movies at Petoskey Cinema, snowmobile rentals and trails - all are available nearby.
